Overview:  Balsam Brands is looking for a talented, driven individual to join our online marketing management team.  This person must have a passion for driving results by taking initiative, learning, testing, analyzing and managing agency relationships.  This position combines planning with execution and implementation in a fun and well-balanced work environment.

Description:  This role is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our marketing team and help to manage agency relationships as well as in-house online marketing for our growing portfolio of brands.  This position will encompass working closely with the online marketing team to analyze historical results to craft future marketing strategies, execute such strategies, update copy and messaging in coordination with merchandising / promotion changes, analyze real-time performance to aid in optimizing performance, and ultimately drive significant growth in online marketing results and efficiency.  This role will also include working with and managing marketing agencies.  Major online marketing channels overseen by this role include pay-per-click, comparison shopping engines and affiliate marketing.

The Online Marketing Manager must be a faster learner, analyze data and compile actionable conclusions, be able to work well independently and as a part of a team, manage multiple projects at once, successfully manage and mentor direct reports, maintain a big-picture mindset while paying close attention to details, think creatively, and have fun while working. Our ideal candidate is someone who is motivated by challenges and is both a leader and a doer – someone who gets energized by both setting direction and making things happen.

Skills and Qualifications Required:  A successful Online Marketing Manager should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree from top tier school
  • 3-5 years work experience, including at least 2 years work experience in online marketing
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Creative and analytical mind
  • Consumer-centric mindset
  • Detail-oriented yet able to maintain a big-picture view
  • Ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative information to dig into results and determine optimization opportunities
